Now enrolling for 2026-2027 School Year: PreK through 2nd Grade 🌱
Are you a homeschooling family in NYC looking for a supportive learning community? Have you been thinking about homeschooling but feel overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, or wish you had more support?
Great Commission Christian School (GCCS) may be exactly what you've been praying for.
For more than 23 years, GCCS has been making disciples through Christ-centered education in a warm, family-like environment where children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow academically and spiritually.
We are a micro-school with homeschool vibes, combining the best of classroom learning with the flexibility, relationships, and hands-on experiences families love about homeschooling.
Our instruction is rooted in a blend of Traditional, Classical, and Charlotte Mason-inspired educational approaches, nurturing not only strong academic foundations but also curiosity, character, and a lifelong love of learning.
We believe parents are partners.
At GCCS, we know that parents are a child's first and most important teachers. We encourage families to participate in school life, volunteer, share their gifts, and build meaningful relationships with our school community. Education is most powerful when home and school work together.
One unique way parents can be involved is through our fully available kitchen, where moms, dads, and grandparents are welcome to help lead or assist with cooking and baking activities during class hours. These lessons teach practical life skills while reinforcing math, science, nutrition, teamwork, and creativity in a joyful, hands-on setting.
We also have open spaces available for parents that need to get some work done and a weekly Bible Study for moms and grandmas to grow in faith and share the beauty of motherhood.
